  • Key Responsibilities

    As a Workday Functional Senior Manager, you should expect to be involved in the following:

  • Oversee all functional work streams on global Workday implementation projects
  • Serve as the escalation point for critical functional issue resolution
  • Manage on and off-shore functional teams
  • Provide subject matter expertise to aid in decision making related to the functional solution
  • Lead, mentor, counsel and manage performance metrics of project staff
  • Conduct working sessions with clients to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements.
  • Advise clients on industry standards and leading practices.
  • Understand Workday’s Implementation Methodology and apply it on all engagements.
  • Provide the Project Manager with status updates and keep them apprised of overall project status.
  • Architect Workday HCM solution to ensure that all work streams are cohesive and cross functional impacts are considered and mitigated
  • Demonstrate strong client and stakeholder management to achieve project objectives
  • Ensure the client takes advantage of Workday best practices.
  • Support business development activities such as solutioning, proposal creation, orals support and SOW creation.
  • Drive innovation through the creation of new industry leading methods and assets
  • Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:
  • Existing and up to date Workday HCM certification
  • 8+ years of consulting experience, most recently in a Manager, Senior Manager, Director, or similar level role, preferably with a large consulting firm
  • HR Technology and process experience using Workday, SAP, Oracle or similar ERP technologies (preferably cloud based)
  • 2+ years demonstrated success of hands-on experience with delivering Workday implementations in a leadership role
  • Experience supporting or leading pre-sales and sales activities
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 80%
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
  • Preferred Skills:

  • 5+ years prior experience implementing Workday with a certified Workday implementer.
  • Experience managing large teams on complex global project
  • Thrive in a diverse, fast paced environment.
  • Think analytically and can effectively apply logic to solve problems.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines, despite conflicting demands.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and team with others.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can clearly articulate complex messages and requirements.
  • Strong desire to work with clients and provide exceptional client experiences.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the cross functional dependencies and impacts to conversions and integrations
  • Demonstrated commitment and achievement to delivery excellence and client relationship management
