AECOM seeking a 1st shift Locksmith 4 for our pharmaceutical facility maintenance team in Pearl River, NY!
Typical work hours are 8:00am 4:30pm.
However, rotating shifts or non-standard hours may be required based on business demand.
This position is responsible for providing an advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive maintenance and reactive repair on locks and related electrical/mechanical fixtures.
Must have the ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. Successful candidates demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Maintain / install locks, keying systems, time locks, etc.
Cut keys as needed.
Re-key standard locks, high security locks, and interchangeable (IC) cores as needed.
Knowledge of re-pinning, disassembly, assembly of BEST A2, A3, & A4 system cores
Maintain and repair security hardware, including locks, door closers, and related fixtures.
Perform small repair of locks and pinning. Disassemble locks, such as padlocks, safe locks and door locks, and repair or replace worn tumblers, springs and other parts.
Perform key extraction, picking and drilling as needed.
Service and adjust mechanical and electrical lock systems.
Work safely with low voltage systems, including electric strikes, doorbells, and intercoms.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and perform required preventative maintenance actions.
Complete necessary work order documentation as required in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Provide service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations.
Safely perform functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.
Operate a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
Maintain a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment, yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.

High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
Five years of experience as a locksmith in a large commercial, pharmaceutical, or industrial environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualified applicants offered a position must be able to obtain site specific security access including all applicable background checks.
Qualified applicants must submit to and pass a Tuberculosis test prior to employment, or be medically cleared for Tuberculosis by a medical professional, and be able to maintain annual negative results.
Qualified applicants must pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and be able to successfully complete a fit test for each type of respirator needed for the position or for an approved alternate respirator that provides equal or better protection from identified hazards.
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
This position may require a valid Driver s License.
This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client s location.
This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.
Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.
Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.
Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.
Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.
Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
New York Locksmith License
Experience as a locksmith in a high security environment.
Experience working in a CMMS environment.
High attention to detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends.
