Amazon is seeking a Physical Security Program Manager to join its growing Loss Prevention team. This team member will lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal business solutions. As the Physical Security subject matter expert, this individual will manage multiple projects maintaining regular communication with project sponsors on status, risks and change control. Cross-team coordination, project management, and executive presentation skills are essential. The Physical Security PM will be a key member of the Loss Prevention operation; working with the Loss Prevention team as well as cross functional leadership teams throughout the organization.
A successful Physical Security PM will have the ability to manage multiple projects at once, be a self-starter, possess strong analytical instincts, and have the ability to take calculated risks that may challenge current practices in order to meet or exceed customer expectations. This role will require up to 70% travel.
Key Responsibilities: Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans Ensure the project is completed within the estimated budget and course correct when needed without jeopardizing the outcome or timeline Delivery of physical security installations while ensuring hardware/equipment standards are met and maintained Act as an escalation point for the project teams and stakeholders to manage risks, develop mitigation plans and path to green throughout project Enhance, track, and report on metrics which are key performance indicators, allowing performance improvements so that the desired outcomes are achieved to plan and in a timely manner Ensure Internal Controls per Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements related to area are fulfilled Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive process improvements and increase efficiency Bachelor s degree or equivalent professional experience 3+ years of experience as a Project/Program Manager, Loss Prevention Manager, Physical Security Consultant, or similar Prior experience in security services, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control, quality assurance, or other related field Experience managing a project from start to finish Experience with MS Office Suite including intermediate Excel skills 4+ years of experience in project/program management Knowledge of Amazon systems as well as fulfillment center processes, sortation and logistics Experience with warehouse, manufacturing or distribution center services
