Participate in accident investigation process. Ensure plant compliance with applicable government regulations. Accountable for facility housekeeping and orderliness.
Ensure adherence to Company s ISO Quality Management System (QMS) in all areas of oversight. Ensure all processes, documents, and records are maintained in compliance with the QMS. Resolve non-conformities through the QMS.
Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customer s expectations. This includes collaborative work updating and sharing the production schedules to ensure projections are followed and output is in alignment.
Resolve Document Kit discrepancies (i.e. routings, prints, materials, etc.) Ensure all production data is entered into management systems. Keep appropriate production records. Enter data for reports as needed by Management.
Coordinate with Engineering for process set-up, process maintenance, manufacturing equipment and tooling maintenance, and calibration of inspection equipment.
Continually evaluate plant operations to identify areas for improvement. Lead or sponsor problem solving teams to continually improve quality and productivity; and to reduce scrap and rework. Employ metrics to drive improvement efforts.
Work with other members of the staff to develop the future state map and manage the plans to achieve it.
Design and implement Training Plans for employees and Development Plans for high performing / high potential employees. Ensure Training / Development Plans are executed according to schedule. Ensure that training activities are documented, that employee personnel files are current, and that employee pay rate correlates to skill level, role / responsibility.
Partner with Human Resources to design direct labor hiring process to support needs of plant. Oversee candidate interviews and make selection decisions.
Conduct performance reviews for annual performance evaluation of direct reports based on Performance Management System, and recommend merit increases.
Administer attendance and approve hours reported to payroll. Approve time-off requests by direct reports as the schedule allows.
Enforce company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Coordinate with HR and Management regarding application of progressive discipline program to staff.
4 year undergraduate degree, or equivalent experience is required.
Previous manufacturing management experience required.
Demonstrated experience with fiscal activities such as staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
Demonstrated record of reliability including attendance, productivity, and quality.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, measuring instruments, and graphs and special charts. Mechanical aptitude and technical competence desired.
Experience with wire, cable, and catheter products in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred, experience with laser-based machining and programmable automation is desired.
Experience working on a Continuous Improvement or Problem Solving team is desired, knowledge of Synchronous Flow / Theory of Constraint concepts is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to be proactive and self motivated.
Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate and lead personnel to achieve desired results.
Effective communication, interaction, cooperation, and collaboration skills with Management and with employees at all levels and in all functions.
Professional written and verbal communication skills are desired.
Demonstrated intermediate level of computer skills, advanced computer skills desired.
Demonstrated sense of urgency, creativity, resilience, and resourcefulness.
Understand the need for and demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality
