The Clinical Quality Strategy and Insight team is in search of an Advanced Analytics Consultant/Analyst Sr/ Analyst (based on experience) who will be responsible for the following:

Be creative, ability to work independently or in a group to develop and understand Medicare/Medicaid member behaviors, leverage data within Anthem, such as customer service experience, intervention touches, historical outcomes, and more to create a picture of our member so we better create innovative approaches to reach our desired outcomes.

Work with HEDIS data sets, create methods to segment our population, create visualizations to predict, classify, quantify, and/or forecast business metrics related to HEDIS and outcomes.

Develop Tableau Vizs that enable our internal teams to better understand members behavior and clinical patterns related to Wellness Prevention.

Normalize data into usable format in order to develop appropriate vizs

Streamline and automate Tableau reports refreshes

Create robust mathematical calculations within SQL for leverage in Tableau reports

Lead development of claims analysis as it relates to HEDIS gap closures to determine effectiveness of programs

Preparing analytical data sets from joining key components from multiple sources in support of leadership asks related to financials and clinical quality measures.

Proactively collaborates with business partners to determine identified population segments and develop actionable plans to enable the identification of patterns related to quality, use, cost and other variables.

We leverage Tableau and PowerPoint within our team to prepare summaries of our analysis to our customers. The incumbent should have experience creating robust visualizations within Tableau, but also have knowledge and experience on presentations to leadership (knowing your audience and creating presentations accordingly)

Demonstrate leadership competencies by collaborating with others and establish working relationships, communicate effectively across the organization and at different levels, coordinate multiple work efforts, and translate business needs into practical applications and solutions.

Requires the following:

Doctoral Degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology or equivalent training and mastery; minimum 10 years experience in related health care analytics; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Prior clinical experience and/or knowledge of HEDIS Specifications, dollars associated with measurements and quality improvement

Strong working knowledge of Tableau and/or other visualization tools. Tableau developer experience preferred.

Strong experience in HEDIS, Hybrid Data Collection and Analysis for both Medicaid and Medicare.

Experience with data models, addressing data quality issues in study design, constructing robust and efficient data sets.

Advanced expertise with software such as SAS Stat, SAS ETS, SAS Enterprise Miner or equivalent.

Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Teradata, SQL, SQL Server, or equivalent required.

Experience with Alteryx

Experience in large complex payer systems, including a solid background in effective use of multiple environments (PC, server, mainframe, intranet).

Demonstrated leadership competencies with the ability to collaborate with others and establish working relationships, communicate effectively across the organization and at different levels, coordinate multiple work efforts, and translate business needs into practical applications and solutions.
