Job Summary

This position leads and supports efforts to assess, plan and implement strategies aimed at increasing the market share and generate growth in existing market segments or new business opportunities in high growth areas. It leads strategic marketing initiatives including the development of market back views of key workflows, applications and customer segments. It uses statistical analysis, competitive data and market knowledge to determine customers unmet needs, gaps in current offerings and the companys right to win.


  • Responsible for development of strategic plan for the business.
  • Manage the development of go to market strategies (workflows) and their value propositions to customers.
  • Develop and manage processes for strategic revenue forecasting, modeling existing and new markets, market research, customer and market segmentation, competitor analysis, market share analysis and similar activities.
  • Create and deliver executive level presentations to internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with cross functional departments to collect and review sales information, market trending data and develop a view for company success.
  • Monitor competitive developments and establish new sources of competitive intelligence through the use of data analysis and competitive market knowledge.
  • Identify, develop and evaluate key workflows and applications to determine opportunity for the company.
  • Perform quantitative analyses on new opportunities and make data driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop near, mid and long-term workflow/application strategy.
  • Develop strategic marketing programs driving key corporate focus areas and workflow in conjunction with field sales team
  • QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

  • An Bachelors degree required in business, marketing or related discipline
  • Masters degree in business, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ten years of strategic marketing, sales or related experience required.
  • Five years leadership responsibility required
  • KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)

  • Strategic marketing, market analysis, value stream mapping experience required
  • Knowledge of life sciences industry highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly and accurately interpret and communicate to all levels of the organization required
  • Experience in working in a cross functional environment required
  • Ability to synthesize large sets of data for use in making complex decisions required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required
  • Demonstrative ability to take initiative and solve problems required
  • Advance Excel skills required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required

    Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

    Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

    A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

    Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.

    Travel approximately 25%
