AXA Equitable recently went through an IPO and became a publicly listed company. As part of the IPO process, senior management identified substantial additional investments to make within the Actuarial and Risk organizations in order to re-establish the foundation of the function post-IPO. Risk Management specifically has been charged with (a) shifting its orientation from measurement to decision influencing, (b) establishing the foundation for post-IPO finance/Risk infrastructure, including ALM, pricing and market risk management and (c) supplying the business with risk-based insights on existing and potential new markets. The Liability Governance Manager position offers a unique opportunity to be an integral part of a growing team and institute best practices at a company experiencing rapid and positive change.
The Liability Governance Manager role offers the opportunity to:
Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Math, Science, Engineering or related discipline
ASA/FSA-track or analogous technical experience sufficient to understand our liabilities and related modeling, valuation and profiling of risk
3+ years of experience in risk at an insurance company or consulting firm
Experience with liability modeling and actuarial projection systems
Experience with Variable Annuities with enhanced Guarantees (GMxBs) and/or Universal/Variable/Indexed Life Insurance, both product designs and common industry marketing practices
Strong accountability, high integrity, diligent and self-starter work ethic, good organizational and strong interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communicator (in both prose and PowerPoint presentation formats)
Experience leading teams (2-3+) in an insurance company or consulting environment
