We are looking to hire a talented Project Manager to support the Actuarial Process Design and Improvements team in the optimization of the utilization of resources, develop and manage project plans, while managing transversal workstreams across Model Development, Assumptions, Valuation, Regulatory, IT, Data Analytics, Finance and Risk Management. The position reports to the Head of the Actuarial Process Design and Improvements team.
Responsibilities will include:
Lead project management for the Actuarial ProcessDesign and Improvements team.
Provide a disciplined yet flexible approach toproject planning and execution, adapting to the unique needs of each project,sponsor or situation, always driving forward on the critical path.
Leverage rigorous risk management practices toidentify and evaluate program risks timely and develop mitigation strategieswell in advance of risk realization.
Manage the successful delivery of projectsbased on timelines, budget, scope, quality andrelationships.
Work with stakeholders to help develop andimplement solutions to business issues.
Coordinate resources and deliverables acrossmultiple workstreams.
Develop detailed project schedules, assessrisks and build mitigation strategies.
Facilitate meetings and communicate results toproject team members.
Actively coordinate and prioritize with otherproject managers across both Actuarial and the broader Enterprise Financialreporting community.
Support relationships and collaborate with businesspartners and team members through data accuracy, transparency and integritywithout exception.
Domestic travel on an as needed basisdepending upon the projects being supported.
Bachelor's degree is required. Major in Finance, Mathematics, OperationalResearch, or Business Administration is preferable.
5+ years of experience in the insuranceindustry.
5+ years experience managing increasingly complexprojects. Strong knowledge of project planning and execution methodologies. PMPdesignation desired.
In depth knowledge of project managementsoftware. Experience with Microsoft Project suite highly desirable.
Strong verbal and written communication skillsare essential.
Capability to work with and influenceall levels of stakeholders, from executive management to individualcontributors, to drive timely decision-making.\"
Ability to facilitate meetings and communicateresults to both the project teams and management.
Ability to present to customers and projectsponsors and play a supporting role in presentation to higher levels ofmanagement.
Strong negotiation and people managementskills.
Proven analytical problem-solving skills,including the ability to assist in breaking down data/information intomeaningful findings and developing recommendations that lead to informeddecision-making.
Experience balancing competing priorities.
Maintain highest ethical standards; demonstratepracticality, integrity and respect for others. Promotes diversity and aculture of inclusion.
Change management experience is a plus.
Experience supporting budget tracking andfinancial reporting is a plus.
Basic software skills: Microsoft Office (Word,Excel, PowerPoint) and process mapping software.
