About IB Chief Data OfficeThe IB Chief Data Office is responsible for enhancing awareness, governance, quality, and consistency across the Investment Bank's data environment. The team ensures the IB is compliant with the Barclays Group Data Policy and coordinates the implementation of standards and governance that are critical to both regulatory requirements and Structural Reform.About Investment BankBarclays believes that data should be valued as a strategic asset, and the IB Chief Data Office is integral to unlocking this value within the IB. Overtime, and in conjunction with other stakeholders, the Chief Data Office will endeavor to ensure that data unlocks both top-line and bottom-line value across the firm, and enables the business to deliver market-leading products and services for our customers and clients.The Markets Data Partner team sits within the IB Chief Data Office and is primarily responsible for meeting and remaining in compliance, with multiple Group / BI Data Office standards. In 2019, the primary area of focus will be on documenting the lineage and controls that underpin the production of the key reports / calculators that are accepted in scope for Markets and allocated to be executed out of London

What will you be doing?

Lead and run effective interviews / workshops that will capture the subject matter knowledge about how data flows operate and where controls exist. Ensure that the outputs of these sessions is properly captured in documentation formats and evidence retention tools (e.g. SharePoint), and that sign offs and documentation are in alignment with Group and BIA assurance reviews that will be run as milestones are met.Working with the Global lead, influence the Group Horizontal lead for data lineage to set standards for documentation and tooling standards that are aligned with the needs of the Markets business and the IHC CCAR requirements.Build subject matter expertise to be trusted and relied on by the both SMEs in the Markets business and IT organization as well as other CDO organizations that have touch points with Markets (e.g. Risk, Finance, and Treasury; Reference data)Maintain and enhance the Meta Data standard and the related information in Barclay's Data Portal for the Markets domains. Develop a strong understanding of the Barclays Data Policies and Standards, and contribute to their ongoing development. Ensure the requirements of the IB are supported in all future iterations

What we're looking for:

Bachelor's Degree8+ years of Investment Banking industry experience, or engaging those businesses as part of a market leading consultancy
