Global Product Manager Substrates (1902284) Iselin, NJ Where the Chemistry HappensWe are seeking a professional like you to lead and/or implement the process to prioritize and appropriately resource new and existing product strategies in collaboration with other key functions within the organization.

    Leveraging your education in a technical discipline (Science or Engineering) and your professional background in Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Technical Service or R&D, you will manage the substrate portfolio life cycle including development, validation, launch and execution activities to meet product line profitability targets. Driving organization for the business, you will enforce harmonization of processes and tools between sites/regions and establish and implement business rules with global substrates suppliers (claims, surcharges, etc.) Successfully engaging inside and outside the organization you will identify and steer activities/opportunities for approving local Chinese suppliers by working closely with Product Management, Quality, Sales & Supply Chain. Additionally, you will manage relationships with global substrate suppliers and oversee technical relationships with substrate manufacturers to ensure earliest possible sharing/discussion of new substrate technologies with the BASF technical team. Your robust analytical skills will be essential as you execute analyses and make suggestions for improvement of overall substrate sourcing strategy, establish inventory ranges and determine the amount of substrate to purchase based on production plans and product platform life cycle, and track and deploy supplier performance scorecards and supplier management (not supplier development). Effectively collaborating with others, you will participate in the S&OP process and support Product Management with the portfolio of performance relevant materials. Demonstrating your strong ability to multi-task, you will manage the substrate allocation process and the slow moving and obsolete inventory across sites. Utilizing your leadership experience, you will provide leadership to ensure that all new technology innovations / intellectual property is protected and appropriately defended in the marketplace. Your prior marketing experience will be an asset as you provide support along with R&D, Marketing, Commercial and Manufacturing teams for successful product launches.
