We are seeking a professional like you to join our R&D Data Science team and provide BASF-wide data solutions for multiple application areas. This comprises materials sciences and materials development, process and quality control which are based on data analysis, data-based modeling and optimization.
This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your work in state-of-the-art software design, development techniques and relational database design.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent Formula for Success
Leveraging your education in natural sciences or a background in IT with a strong interest in natural sciences combined with your experience as a data architect and familiarity with applying your skills to industrial data, you will be responsible for projects in this field and closely cooperate with R&D, Engineering, central functions and business units.
Utilizing your strong focus on innovation, as well as your excellent communication skills, you will actively identify needs of researchers, translate these into R&D software specifications and manage the development.
Acting as an enabler in interdisciplinary project teams, you will communicate ideas and solutions of data architecture and big data technology to a broad community of researcher scientists and developers.
Successfully engaging inside and outside the organization, you will establish and maintain collaborations with academic research groups in that domain while evaluating new approaches and exploring new application opportunities.
