JOB DESCRIPTION

At Belk we have a vision to reimagine the department store. As a Support Associate, you will drive store sales through the execution of non-sales tasks and projects that create a customer ready environment. Customer ready tasks include but are not limited to, facility maintenance, unloading trailers, processing and moving merchandise to the appropriate area on the sales floor, as well as ensuring new receipts are merchandised in a way that aligns with our brand, appeals to our customer, and encourages her to buy. Most importantly, you will work closely on a team that cares for our customers in an environment where we thrive by winning together. A support position at Belk consists of one of the following roles: Operations, Merchandising, Processing, Fulfillment, Maintenance, Housekeeping and Lead roles.ASSOCIATE ROLES: The Merchandise Processing Associate drives store sales through the execution of in-store merchandising standards. As a Brand Ambassador, this role will partner closely with the operations, sales, and visual teams to ensure new receipts are merchandised in a way that aligns with our brand, appeals to our customer and encourages her to buy. The Operations Team Associate is part of the operations team that performs merchandise processing duties to support the merchandising function of the store.The Alterations Associate is responsible all aspects of alterations.The Store Receiving and Maintenance associate is responsible all aspects of facility maintenance, unloading trailers, processing and moving merchandise to the appropriate area on the sales floor.LEAD ROLES:The Merchandising Team Lead is primarily responsible to drive store sales through the execution of in-store merchandising standards. Partners closely with the operations, sales, and visual teams to ensure new receipts are merchandised in a way that aligns with our brand, appeals to our customer and encourages her to buy.The Store Fulfillment Lead is responsible for managing the store fulfillment process and leading the store fulfillment team. They are accountable for achieving program targets through the development of their team and establishing strong partnerships throughout the store.The Operations Team Lead is primarily responsible for leading the CORE operations processes in the store including prepping the dock area, unloading trailers and processing the merchandise.
