Optimize the efficiency of the RED Leadership Team while being an active participant. Optimize strategic support of portfolio objectives and implementation of RED 2020 priorities. This individual will also work closely with the SVP, RED, as the Head of Strategic Operations, and lead multi-faceted initiatives to achieve greater operational efficiencies and effectiveness across the RED organization. The ideal candidate will have the acumen to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously, mixing long term projects with the urgency of immediate demands of the RED organization. S/he must also have the demonstrated ability to deal with highly confidential information and act as be a liaison and trusted business partner between the SVP, RED, and other constituencies, both internal and external. 1. Strategic Operational Leadership Serve on RED LT, leading development of LT meeting agenda and facilitate meetings, helping to drive alignment and decision making, and to ensure cross-functional integration of key initiatives, in conjunction with SVP, RED. Develop strategic relationships in a cross functional / matrixed organization. May represent RED at R\\u0026D meetings, and prepare presentation materials on a variety of topics and audiences 2. Drive Organizational Excellence Ensure organizational effectiveness throughout RED, including creating appropriate governance and resource models with RED LT, as needed, to navigate operational complexity necessary to facilitate function of RED. Facilitate team building for LT and assist coordination of team building events throughout RED functions. Coordinate / facilitate RED 2020 meetings 3. Manage Academic Collaborations Develop Academic Collaborations Strategy in collaboration with RU/COE Heads. Implement workshops, symposia and other activities to maximize impact of academic collaborations. Manage and review progress of academic collaborations. Maintain strong engagement with collaboration partners and key scientific leaders 4. Support Portfolio Prioritization Partner closely with Strategy \\u0026 Portfolio Leadership to define and champion portfolio strategy assisting with coordination of strategic disease area / capability roadmapsQualificationsAt least 5-7 years of experience in organizational development and collaboration management * Experience in strategy development and implementation * Experience with portfolio management or similar activities * Evidence of effectiveness in external innovation roles, eg. business development activities, interaction with external partners * Experience in effectively managing industry-academia interactions or similar activities * Effective team work, networking and interpersonal skills * Excellent analytical skills, organization and coordination skills * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Able to effectively collaborate across multiple organizations, and with stakeholders of various background and skill setEducationPhD, MBA or advanced professional degree.All individuals deserve the right to achieve their full potential.
