About This Role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with expertise in enterprise data quality management and the infrastructure associated with it.
The core objective of this role will be to actively support the processes and projects designed in collaboration with the Global Complaints Management System (GCMS) Product Team to ensure the accuracy and consistency of Post-Market Master Data.
The role entails a strong involvement in analyzing and improving infrastructure to simplify the collection and management of GCMS Master Data.
The candidate must have a desire to utilize their skills to solve technical/complex problems in a hands-on manner, working in a fast-paced environment, and across multiple functions in a global company.
The successful candidate for this position will provide strong leadership and problem solving to ensure accurate and timely complaint management through to reporting to regulatory bodies.
This role will work in a Product Team structure and will be responsible for the Master Data that drives an enterprise complaint management system, including new and existing capabilities.
The role will collaborate with Divisional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to maintain a process and governance model and drive continuous improvements to master data across the organization.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Develop and maintain a strong relationship with Master Data SMEs, GCMS Product team members, and other Business and IT Partners
Review and enforce Data Quality rules as part of Data Governance
Work within the Data Governance framework to ensure accurate and consistent data maintenance globally
Participate in meetings with, influence and guide Master Data SMEs on best practices
Investigate reasons for potential data issues and collaborate with IT team on prioritized technical solutions and improvements
Regularly review and update Process and Procedural documentation
Collaborate with Product Team to refine Work Instructions and training material for Master Data SMEs
Disseminate best practices and standardization in Master Data Management across all Divisions and Functional Areas
Provide updates and develop recommendation to management and all stakeholders through frequent communications of findings at regular intervals via reports and meetings
May serve as a core team lead or extended team member on new projects
Accountable for technical issue resolution including diagnosis of problem, recommendations for workarounds, and defect correction
Understand business implications and incorporate understanding into technical and process improvement recommendations
Researches and applies new technologies, development techniques and best practices by leveraging experience, industry contacts, seminars, and books.
Influence the organization to prioritize and execute tactical clean-ups where necessary
Coordinate and validate data integrity and propose, manage and implement short term and long terms fixes where necessary.
Analyze, synthesize and communicate data and issues into business language, meaningful and insightful messaging and plans.
What We?re Looking For In You:
Bachelor?s Degree with 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
Ability to research and work on data
Strong communication skills with employees at all levels including ability to translate distinct terminology differences between and for technical teams and business teams
Analytical, detail oriented, problem solving & insight generation skills
Precise, methodical and respectful of procedures
Demonstrated use of modern high-level programming language (Python, SAS, other)
Hands-on experience authoring SQL
Strong working knowledge of Master Data, hierarchical data structures
Innovative, independent thinker who can build the most optimal environment considering best practices
Demonstrated cross functional teamwork in a fast paced, self-directed, action-oriented, technically demanding environment
Excellent interpersonal communication skills including oral and written communication
Strong relationship building skills and interfacing with subject matter experts and stakeholders
Ability to work in virtual teams
Highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes and tools
Experience working in an agile software development environment
Experience with Informatica Data Director and Data Quality
Experience with software development, source control, and version control tools (JIRA, Bitbucket)
Experience creating Tableau reports, dashboards and other interactive data visualizations
Experience in life science industry
