Job Description

The Head of Diversity and Inclusion will be responsible for defining and reinforcing an enterprise-wide diversity and inclusion strategy that ensures as a global organization we continue to fulfill and exceed our commitments to building and nurturing an organization that encourages, and values, diverse perspectives in our workplace and our world-class product.

As the head of Diversity and Inclusion you will be a passionate advocate for all our organizational values and will have primary responsibility for championing those values both internally and externally, to ensure employees, partners, customers and community understand, and are aligned with our objectives and seamlessly integrate it into the everyday culture of Commvault.

Being the change you want to see in the world is also integral to the way we do business at Commvault. You must be able to influence change and provide ongoing thought leadership in this area both internally and externally. As this is a new role to the company you will define and collate our global inclusion strategy and vision for Commvault and will work closely with senior leaders across the company to ensure we can continue to attract, grow and retain diverse talent. Specific responsibilities include:

Thought Leader
- Infusing D & I in our company-wide programs including learning and development, leadership principles, recruitment, social media and digital space, onboarding, and pay equity programs. Works to ensure that management and inclusion approaches are unified; working with leaders to incorporate inclusion in their management practices.

Champion
- builds relationships with key leaders to create awareness, support and advocacy for diversity and inclusion effort, reaching beyond the immediate programmatic scope to influence and lead change initiatives

Enabler
- embedding of D & I perspectives and practices so that leaders/business functions have ownership and investment in the work, and that diversity and inclusion efforts are not the exclusive area of the HR/D & I team. Design and deliver training related to workplace inclusion and unconscious bias

Collaborator-
managing multiple global/cross functional and concurrent program related projects that range in size and complexity. Using global perspective, research D & I trends, integrating them with Commvault's global employee experience strategy

Data Expert
- creates dashboards and tracking mechanisms to track and monitor progress. EEO reporting responsibility.

Qualifications:

- BA/BS degree in business or HR related area. MA/MS degree preferred.
- HR, project management and/or leadership training or certification preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including prior experience with initiating D & I at the enterprise level and managing D & I in a large organization.
- Passion for leading and a commitment to creating an equitable and inclusive work environment
- Results driven with proven ability to help organizations develop business focused solutions addressing key needs in the areas of HR and D & I.
- Proven track record of facilitating enterprise-level initiatives with multiple senior stakeholders
- Strategy design, program development and management experience .
- Ability to lead and manage complex projects across multiple departments and countries through influence
- Comprehensive knowledge of D & I concepts and ROI measurements
- Strong business acumen
- Change leadership and change management skills
- Resilient and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; delivery focused with significant drive and energy
- Exceptional communicator and demonstrated ability to find common ground among diverse perspectives
- Current knowledge of best practices in promoting an inclusive workplace, including effective approaches to recruitment and retention
- The ability to work effectively with a broad range of diverse groups as evidenced by excellent listening and communication skills, balanced and reasoned approaches, ability to inspire trust and confidence, and flexibility and openness to differing points of view.
- Proven ability to design, develop and implement strategy.
- High proficiency in MS Office
