The Director, Program Management, operating as enterprise Solution Architect, reports to the Practice Leader and will matrix to the AVP of Enterprise Solution Architecture. This role is responsible for architecting and designing comprehensive solutions and internal business processes that meet functional requirements in support of enterprise client programs. The Solution Architect leads in establishing architectural vision and direction, design solutions and infrastructure for delivery, provides advice and guidance, monitors emerging technologies, and assists in determining software and service requirements for input into the investment, business plan and contract.As part of a broader CAI-wide architecture practice, this role participates in developing software-aligned products, platforms and patterns that can be used across Cox Automotive. The Solution Architect will apply a consultative mindset in partnering closely with client c-suite executives and across engineering, product, other solution architects in business portfolios and the businesses in the co-solutioning discovery, design and delivery processes for uniquely configured Cox Automotive solutions.? Solutions may include configurations or integrations across Cox Automotive or 3rd party websites, inventory listings, CRM, F&I applications, e-Contracting, and appointment scheduling tools.? Professional Services clients comprise Cox Automotive enterprise OEM, lender, commercial and large dealer group clients requiring complex configuration, integration, new development and end-user adoption support to shape and achieve their business strategy.??Leveraging in-depth knowledge of CAI solution configurability and broad functional knowledge of client strategies, the Solution Architect will play a strategic leadership role in guiding engineering teams toward next-generation architecture and engineering capabilities.? This role shares responsibility for monetization of services and enabling revenue growth, preserving cross-Cox client relationships, and balancing competing priorities in alignment with our product roadmap while continually improving the value provided by Professional Services.??Solutions may include designing compatible solution bundles, building Cloud Native applications leveraging AWS services, applying a Services or API-first approach, using event-based or messaging-based architectures and delivering multi-tenant applications.? The Solution Architect is expected to build and sustain a deep understanding of the architecture discipline, processes, concepts and best practices.? Responsibilities Leads engagement with Practice Leaders and Clients in identifying, assessing and recommending solution options and solution architecture, adhering to architectural standards and the technology roadmap and minimizing technical debt; facilitates large groups of diverse stakeholders to obtain consensus on target solution Leads architect design for solutions that involve complex, multi-system integration across Business Units and domains to meet client outcome objectives, including planning for end-user adoption and solution life-cycle management/sustainability Determines level of effort and resources requirements (internal and external) for input to the business case development; ensures fiscally responsible vetting of solutions/proof of concept, reinforces positive client and cross-Cox relationships and provides direction on the appropriate approach to the solution and prompt issue resolution throughout the project? Supports program management process in assessment of a client?s technical setup to determine integration with Cox Automotive products and services, including the requirements for configuration work on both sides Supervises, coaches and develops the Business Process Analyst as a direct report; contributes to the development and success of matrixed team members Builds and maintains knowledge mastery for designated practice area including client strategies, product/technology/service solution options, competitive factors, emerging trends, relevant Cox Automotive data/insights and outside industry impacts Qualifications: 10+ years? experience in full development life cycle and delivering applications and architecture services 5+ years? experience implementing structured design and architecture processes in a corporate environment BS/BA degree in Business, Engineering or like discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred Preferred Qualifications:? Experience working with the Agile Method for software development and project management? Experience engaging with account teams using enterprise/strategic account management processes Experience in applying change management effectively to ensure adoption and sustainment of solutions Certifications in relevant consultative account management approaches (e.g. LAMP, Challenger) Competencies for Success Proven ability to collaborate and drive results in a fast-paced, matrixed environment Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills to achieve holistic, systemic solutions Strong executive presence and ability to influence and shape strategy with clients and business leaders Knowledge of OEM and franchised dealer relationship to effectively assess change management needs? Ability to assess and balance competing priorities, allocate resources, and generate positive returns Demonstrated success in supervision and development of direct reports Experience with cloud-native architectures, demonstrated proficiency in architecture of business, data,?technical / Infrastructure, operations and security disciplines.? Experience in development and project?management processes and methodologies. Knowledge of data warehousing and reporting technologies.?
