Emerson Automation Solutions is seeking a Digital Employee Engagement - Program Director to join our team. This newly created position will focus on driving a range of improved digital employee experiences which leverage modern digital tools. This program will impact 58,000 global employees and seeks to increase employee satisfaction, collaboration, and productivity. Our approach will start by understanding user's needs and building a roadmap to solve for them. With this human centered design approach, the Program Director will refresh internal websites (intranet), internal portals for sales, services and marketing and the delivery methods used to enable our sales people and channel partners. The Program Director will create the long-term roadmap and work with a steering team to align resources, funding and timing. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Digital Customer Experience and will work closely with senior leadership, as well as collaborating with World Areas and Emerson businesses.


Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and execute a range of initiatives and projects which directly support Emerson's business strategies.

  • Lead the Program Steering team to identify and establish an annual set of initiatives with clear objectives, KPIs and timelines; and align the organization to this plan

  • Understand the key alignment points of the Emerson Automation Solutions business strategy and focus on programs to accelerate business outcomes

  • Create a roadmap of high level requirements based on inputs from formal discovery projects, working teams, past programs, user data and focus groups; prioritize based on business opportunity

  • Collaborate internally with Digital Customer Experience, Marketing, HR, IT, Business Units, World Areas, Functional Leaders and other supporting teams to scope and execute the projects needed to implement new intranet sites and portals; ultimately moving off legacy platforms

  • Establish the global design standards and the degree of standard vs flexible implementation

  • Manage relationships with design agencies, technology vendors and implementation partners

  • Develop and implement internal communications plans and training to inform, engage and drive adoption of employees and channel partners

  • Measure employee engagement, satisfaction and usage to recommend areas of improvement and future elements of the roadmap

  • Up to 40 % domestic & international travel required

  • Relocation available and determined based on need

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, program or software management

  • Demonstrated comfort around executive level management

  • Successful at developing, writing and executing clear plans, timelines, and budgets

  • Familiarity managing outside agencies, contractors, and associated budgets

  • Proficient in analyzing and reporting metrics with actionable recommendations for continuous improvement

  • Strong communicator with the ability to work across functions, leadership levels and varying motivations
