The Coremedia Technical Services Manager role requires experience in successfully administering medium to large scale, and moderately to highly complex public-facing e-commerce websites that are utilizing Coremedia Live Context and IBM WebSphere Commerce. The Coremedia Technical Services Manager is a senior role and an integral component of Emerson Corporate's Digital Engagement team. The Coremedia Technical Services Manager must have product knowledge on installs, configurations, and the maintenance of enterprise content management within e-commerce websites. This operations professional has an in-depth understanding of how the product components interact and the capabilities of the components, as well as the configurations and architecture of development, staging and production systems. He/she will work with team members and vendors to develop a proof of concept for new technologies and architectures.. The Coremedia Technical Services Manager is responsible for proactive and reactive troubleshooting, monitoring and maintaining existing Coremedia content management and delivery servers. The technical services manager performs and mentors junior team members on the installation, configuration, and day-to-day tasks associated with ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a Coremedia environment. This includes the design and implementation of infrastructure from specifications, configuration and deployment of applications, connecting to back-end resources, and advanced troubleshooting techniques pertaining to systems utilizing Coremedia content management and IBM WebSphere Commerce.. The role requires solid understanding of building and maintaining web-based applications within a cloud computing provider, i.e. Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services. This includes but not limited to a general understanding of infrastructure components such as servers, storage, networking, monitoring, load balancing, firewalls, databases and security.. This position will interface with other Emerson Corporate teams, i.e. Linux Administration, Networking, Cloud Operations, and Security, required to maintain the environments. Successful candidates will also have excellent communications skills and will have experience in working in a matrixed team environment. The TSM will provide mentoring and coaching to other Emerson Corporate resources. Overall objective of the Coremedia Technical Services Manager role is to ensure that all environments are maintained and available according to established Service Level Agreements with minimal business disruption. The primary location for this job will be in St. Louis, Missouri, however there may be some travel both within North America and internationally (up to 15%).. Included within his/her responsibly is the daily care and maintenance of our hosted Coremedia public-facing web-based applications. This includes:. Coremedia Infrastructure. Coremedia Troubleshooting & Log Analysis. Running Daily Maintenance Scripts. Maintaining Cache Services. Maintaining Chef, QuickBuild, Subversion, Jira and other critical components to this architecture. Basic Java Debugging and Script writing. Developer Support (Build Tools & Local Development). Customers Support (Service Now Tickets). Patches and Upgrades. Server Access & Credential Escalations. Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Support (Windows Server 2012). Mongo DB support. Basic SQL Debugging. Disaster Recovery and High Availability Testing & Maintenance. Networking Debugging & Analysis. DNS & Redirect Implementations. Security Vulnerability Testing & Remediation. Server build, code deployment, and other automation for operational efficiency.. Excellent organizational and task management skills, including ability to execute and prioritize a number of tasks simultaneously. Mentor more junior level members of the team. Strong experience working in a matrix environment. Excellent communication skills including strong presentation / communication / facilitation skills (oral and written). Innovative, flexible, and adaptable. On-Call support. Customer-focused. Results oriented, detailed and analytical with the ability to lead others. Excellent relationship management, interpersonal, conflict and negotiation skills. Able to work in a team environment.. Requirements. EDUCATION. Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar discipline. Master's degree is a plus. Websphere Commerce certification is a plus. 8 - 14 years of experience in technology, business, management or project leadership. LANGUAGES. Fluent in English. Work Authorization.
