The VP, CEC Customer Architecture and Enabling located in San Jose, California or West Coast, Telecommuter will define customer technical business requirements & priorities by application of broad vision and knowledge of the customer's market and technology needs, initiating and managing business activities that will strengthen, expand and drive market penetration of Flex services and capabilities.. Relentless drive to win. Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:. He or she will drive technical requirements into the Portfolio Development Group to create a stronger and more competitive CEC roadmap.. Establish and manage long term strategies so that Flex sites and business segments can better work with our key customers.. Develop robust customer technology and enabling plans aligned to CEC's business strategy. Partner with the Global Account Managers (GAMs) & Design Development team to ensure appropriate execution to meet those plans at a program level.. Identify, rationalize, monitor and control the interdependencies between customer and internal programs.. Establish and maintain network of peer to peer architectural relationships with key decision makers in the customer's engineering and architecture organizations to develop opportunities, gain sourcing consideration and be a serious contender for quotation requests. Manage customer technical relationships on a Global basis and take on the responsibility of being the key architectural escalation point globally for all customer issues, scope changes, quality, communications management, risk management and account interfaces/dependencies.. Establish long term strategies and oversee implementation of same in order that Flex can achieve and maintain best in class status.. Ensure customer satisfaction by proactively managing good communications between the parties, directly managing customer escalations or disputes and being an advocate for the customer within Flex's operations.. Use familiarity and knowledge of global capabilities of Flex's entities, determine and organize the best solution for design, manufacturing, supply chain and logistics to meet the customers' requirements for production.. Facilitate external two-way communication between Customer and Flex Sites where appropriate on solutions or system design topics.. Manage the process to ensure Customers architectural expectations are clearly defined, understood and communicated across the appropriate Flex Organizations.. Drive enhances overall customer satisfaction through Customer Satisfaction Management process with the appropriate level of management within the customer organization.. Ensure processes in place are being utilized to address any Customer Satisfaction or Service related issues.. Organize and manage the solutions architecture team ensuring appropriate global presence and coverage of critical areas of expertise needed to engage with CEC's customer.. Here is some of what you'll need (required):. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or system architecture preferred) or related discipline.. 12+ years of systems architecture experience.. 9+ years of management or supervisory experience..
