As a Biopharmaceuticals Investigator, you will be responsible for building and enhancing biopharmaceutical expertise to support biopharmaceutical CMC drug release and stability.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in developing, qualifying and transferring analytical methods to determine binding and biological activity of protein molecules such as antibodies.
  • Write method SOPs; development and qualification reports; and transfer protocols.
  • Provide assay support to R&D groups and play a leading role in transfer of the assays to Global Stability and Release, manufacturing plant, and/or a contractor. Some travel will be required.
  • Train others and help to troubleshoot assay problems as they occur.
  • Interpret the data and communicate experimental results through internal and external meetings, publications, and in reports.
  • Accurately record experimental results in electronic laboratory notebooks.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities and assure that the function and operation of the laboratory comply with the applicable procedures (safety, SOPs, and administrative procedures).
  • Provide scientific input and recommendations to the project team decision making process.
  • Keeps manager and matrix team leaders informed of progress and activities.

    Basic Qualifications:

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Ph.D. in biochemistry, Immunology, pharmacology or related scientific field with experience of immunoassay design and function or a Bachelors or Masters degree with equivalent training and experience.
  • Ph.D. with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in immunoassay or biochemical assay development, or
  • Bachelors or Masters degree with 7 years of hands-on experience in immunoassay or biochemical assay development.
  • Experience with protein binding, immunoassays, and basic biochemistry techniques.
  • Must have a rack record of developing assays using at least one of following bioanalytical techniques: Biacore, Octet, or HTRF.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer software packages used in the analysis of binding data.
  • Highly motivated and organized
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Prior experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Peer reviewed publications in the above scientific area.
  • Experience with laboratory automation such as Hamilton or Tecan liquid handling system.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence.
  • Strong technical writing skills for documentation.
