As a Scientific Leader-Sterile Platform you will support build of Product Development Sciences strategy for the Pharmaceutical Development department

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Support build of Product Development Sciences strategy for the development of sterile dosage forms and associated platforms and sourcing solutions (internal and external) including innovative delivery technologies, e.g. implants and liposomes.
  • Prioritize long acting delivery technology options and recommend technologies for building capability (internal or external).
  • Align sterile technology intent with commercial organization as well as Biopharm and Vaccines.
  • Develop a sterilization strategy for various sterile dosage forms aligned with regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide strategic technical direction to leadership in this area.

    Basic Qualifications:

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • PhD in Pharmaceutics, Biomedical Engineering, or other related fields with a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in sterile drug product development.
  • Proven track record of expertise in sterile dosage forms, both in formulation and manufacturing process development. Recognized as a functional expert in sterile dosage forms.
  • Proven track record of expertise in developing complex sterile dosage forms, ideally from early candidate selection to commercialization.
  • Has thorough knowledge about regulatory requirements and drug development process.
  • Has thorough working knowledge of Quality by Design approaches and demonstrated ability to implement appropriate strategies for projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to and effectively influence matrix teams and colleagues in other divisions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of related scientific disciplines as they apply to drug discovery/development and has general understanding of key scientific areas impacting project.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate external collaborations.
  • Demonstrated skills in working effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated skills in providing clear communication to all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated detailed fundamental knowledge of the literature in sterile dose forms and novel drug delivery systems.
  • Experience in leading and implementing change.
  • Able to evaluate and propose potential solutions.
