AN OVERVIEW: The Corp Stores Associate Store Manager (ASM) brings this mission to life in the store and plays a key role to providing a 'caring team' atmosphere not only for our customers but also the store team. They are highly motivated, thriving in an ambiguous and ever-changing environment - someone always up for a challenge and inspiring others to learn and think differently. As the ASM for a company-owned Hallmark Gold Crown retail store they are empowered to manage the store and team in conjunction with or in the absence of the SM to deliver on sales, people, IAT, customer service goals and store standards using the many tools and resources provided. The primary goal is to attract and develop top talent to meet and exceed established sales goals, and to successfully manage all operational aspects. The incumbent effortlessly connects with our caring customers to support their relationship building and to earn their loyalty and return visits to the store, while inspiring their team to do the same. The incumbent serves as a role model for retail management and execution by delivering a consistently exceptional customer experience, displays strong leadership skills and helps to develop store employees. Consistently delivers on baseline operational expectations and practices. For example, participating in onboarding new hires and timely/accurate completion of paperwork and compliance elements as assigned. Successfully develops and executes in-store events and services with the local community as a center point. The Associate Store Manager reports directly to a Store Manager. THE ASSOCIATE STORE MANAGER BRINGS HALLMARK'S MISSION TO LIFE BY: + Developing and delivering effective training to elevate the team to care, connect, sell and service all customers and earn their return business; e.g. CARE training program. + Delivering effective training to elevate the team to care, connect, sell and service all customers and earn their return business. Making your store one that consumers think of first. + Foremost focus is to consistently attract top talent and develop talent to cultivate a team that instinctively knows how to meet the needs of our caring connectors while flawlessly delivering operational results. + Achieve performance objectives for store in sales, customer service, payroll, marketing/promotions markdowns and shrinkage. Drive sales, IAT goals, email/ new member sign ups, and Gold Crown transactions. + Works closely with the Store Manager to review new policies, operational changes, and training and technology initiatives and coordinates implementation in the store. Identifies and develops targeted training/communication for specific store-level operational needs. Successfully supports and helps to deliver Corporate Stores sponsored marketing events. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: In order to be considered for this role, the following is required: + A high school diploma, GED, equivalent or higher. + 1+ year of retail experience. + Ability to continuously stand/walk; frequently push/pull; occasionally bend/stoop/crawl/reach above shoulders/kneel; climb a ladder, and carry up to 40 pounds; i.e., fixture parts and cartons. + Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business, including, events, holidays, evenings and weekends. + Availability to open and close the store 3+ times per week and 2+ weekend shifts per month. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume and application will stand out if you have: + 2+ years of retail store manager experience with a dynamic and complex specialty retailer. + Leadership and interpersonal skills - the ability to build relationships, train and motivate team members. + Business acumen to reach established financial goals. + Strong verbal selling skills. + Organizational and time management skills. + Flexibility - the ability to adapt to change. + A strong sense of urgency. + Technical proficiency with computers, Microsoft Word, Excel and ability to learn new technology quickly.
