Manager, Test Department Directs the Test Department activities for RF/ Microwave components. The Manager will inspire, lead, supervise, plan, organize, and direct the activities of the technicians and assemblers engaged in the assembly, test and troubleshooting of RF/microwave components, subsystems and/or complex electronic modules. Provides for optimum utilization of manpower, equipment, purchased material and facilities in accordance with cost, schedule, quality, budget, and customer requirements. This position reports up to Directors and VPs on a daily basis. Major Responsibilities: Prepares work schedules and ensures that priorities are met. Ensures products meet test specifications and that testing and procedures are followed according tocompany rules and regulations pertaining to ISO/AS 9100 mandates.Performs the personnel tasks of hiring, training, and reviewing employee performance. Writes and implements test procedures. Makes budgetary recommendations and monitors budgets for capital expenditures and manpower for production test areas. Performs prototype and component evaluations if required. Interfaces with various company departments to resolve assembly and test problems. Ensures training of subordinate employees in the area of environmental health and safety (EH&S) matters where appropriate. Monitors work in progress and ensures that all procedures are followed Fluent with MS Office suite Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice. To be considered: You must have hands on experience with design, development, and production of RF/ Microwave electrical devices. Includes components, builds, rebuilds, and prototypes. You must have 7+ years experience in a DoD contractor. RF/MW preferred. You must have 4+ years as a Leader/ Manager with direct reports in a Testing Department. This includes full budget, schedule, manpower, work flow, outcome, procedure, prototype, and development You must have a Bachelor Degree in Electronics or Engineering You must live and breathe SOP and ISO assembly protocols within a DoD Engineering Assembly facility. You must be flexible to schedule and customer demands which can include working overtime during the week, weekends, and travel if needed. Must be able to obtain a DoD securityclearance.
