Additional information about our Outpatient Surgery Unit: 24 Beds in the Outpatient Surgery Center Nurses are responsible for preparing patients for surgery as well as educating and discharging patients On average, 800 patients are seen on a monthly Types of surgeries conducted: Thoracic, colorectal, general gynecology, gynecological oncology, general surgery, otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat), urology, and urogynecology Leadership opportunities include being a part of Shared Governance councils A supportive culture focused on fostering educational opportunities and specialty certification Leaders on this unit have a passion for supporting nurses in reaching their professional goals, excellent practice, and collegial relationships Shift: Monday - Friday 1:30P - 10P Call: Some weekend call (required) Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required) BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred) LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current Registered Nurse License in this state American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required) CNOR certification (preferred) EXPERIENCE : Minimum of one year experience as a Perioperative RN or completion of a Perioperative Nurse course Scrubbing or surgical assistant experience (preferred) Tuition Reimbursement Program ($5,250/calendar year) HCA Healthcare is partnering with Bright Horizon EdAssist Solutions to provide a monthly benefit toward qualifying education loans incurred by eligible active full-time and part-time employees who have completed 90 days of service.
