Clear Lake Regional MedicalCenter is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) General Surgery. Responsibilities:Responsible forassessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assignedpatients.Responsible formeeting the Standards of Practice for the Surgical Intermediate/ GeneralSurgery Units and managing all assigned personnel, supplies, andequipment.Participates inactivities to plan, measure, assess and improve the quality of patientcare.Responds to CodeBlue and implements life-saving measures,.Monitors specialdrugs.Assesses patientsin an ongoing manner, per protocol.Assists physicianwith procedures, as needed. Assumes theresponsibility of charging the unit, as needed.Responsible forassessment of patient with telemetry monitoring.Responsible formaintaining customer friendly atmosphere.Draws blood fromvenous lines.Models andreinforces behavior consistent with goals for teaching the patient,communicates patient status to appropriate member of the healthcare team,and provides support to the family, as needed.Scanning suppliesfrom P.O.U. area. Qualifications Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year current/recent Med/Surg experience in a Hospital or Nursing Home setting required.Current licensure with Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.HCA Healthcare ranks on Fortune s list of Most Admired Companies for three consecutive years and HCA ranks 63rd on the fortune 500 list.
