Residential Assisant Program Managers

The Head Injury Association is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping Traumatic Brain Injury Survivors and those with Developmental Disabilities. Our mission is to maximize potential and return those we support to the best possible quality of life.

This Eastern Long Island Based Agency seeks Experienced Residential Assistant Program Managers.

Under the guidance of the Program Manager, the Assistant Program Manager is responsible for the administration of all aspects of the medical, health and psychiatric care of the Individuals we support. Additional duties may be assigned by the Program Manager and/or Registered Nurse. The Assistant Program Manager will assume the duties of the Program Manager in their absence.This is an on-call position.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Program Manager include but are not limited to: Assisting the Program Manager in ensuring the program is in compliance with OPWDD regulations, ensure the facility meets environmental, health and security standards, provide guidance and assistance to staff and monitor the site to ensure that it remains safe, secure and well-maintained.


Applicants must have:

  • 1 year of supervisory experience working in a Group Home with a Special Needs Population or 3 years experience as a Direct Support Professional with Special Needs Population.
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid New York Driver s License without any infractions

Preference given to those Applicants with:

  • AMAP/SCIP/CPR Certification
