**Your Role and Responsibilities**
As a Global Benefits Design and Strategy Leader, you will be responsible for the management of Americas IBM Benefits Programs for employees and retirees. Leading a team of 2, you will be leading the development and maintenance of IBM benefits strategy, management of over a dozen vendors, evaluation and implementation of changes to various benefit offering (medical, dental, vision and disability, retirement, and ancillary benefits), monitoring of plan performance, regulations and marketplace trends, and ownership of regional wellness programs.
Develop IBM employee and retiree benefit strategy, policy and eligibility guidelines, including determining the rules and features of the IBM plans.
In line with affordability, approve and sign-off annual program spend and budget.
Responsible for benchmarking plans and programs to ensure they are competitive and cost-effective.
Lead the annual enrollment cycle for IBM US Health Programs, including the annual review of health benefits, negotiating vendors fees, sign-off of plan changes and employee communications.
Approve vendor selection and renewals in line with quality and cost factors, including request for proposal processes, implementations and ongoing operations/financials to improve customer experience, operational excellence and financial results.
Monitor regulatory landscape and plan performance by analyzing plan usage.
Develop and deliver design recommendations based on data analyzed, and measure success of strategies adopted.
Review various participant facing communications, making sure they are accurate and clear to understand, and in line with corporate policies and objectives.
Lead multi-regional wellness team to develop innovative ways to engage employees in health improvement strategies, including the development of a comprehensive and multi-dimensional programs that includes personal wellness, professional growth, fitness & health and mind / body integration.
Prepare executive reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains benefits staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Manage and evaluate benefits staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Develops benefits staff by identifying skills gap, create development roadmap and career planning.
Provides feedback to benefits staff on career guidance, planning and mentoring.
Builds and maintain a productive and supportive work environment allowing team members development opportunities.
