The firm is a leader in investment banking, commercial banking, financial services for small business and consumers, financial transaction processing, asset management and private equity.. *The Firmwide Risk Appetite (FRA) team** within Corporate Risk is responsible for developing the firmwide Risk Appetite framework, which includes establishing parameters and setting tolerances across risk types and line of businesses. Additionally, the FRA team leads the analysis and presentation of Risk Appetite results to senior management and the Board of Directors. The FRA team evaluates these results against tolerances in the context of the Firm's desired risk profile, capital adequacy, liquidity management, business strategy, earnings and return targets.. *Key Responsibilities**. Focusing primarily on market risk among other quantitative risks as needed:. + Drive ongoing strategic enhancements to the firmwide Risk Appetite framework, including:. + Development of new and refinement of existing Risk Appetite parameters. + Assessment of the calibration of stress assumptions and diversification across risk types. + Further integration of Risk Appetite into strategic business planning at the Firm and Line of Business levels. + Analyze and synthesize market risk and other quantitative risk results to quantify the impact of changes in the macroeconomic environment, exposure levels and methodology / modeling assumptions. + Partner with Corporate and Line of Business Finance and Risk teams to understand key business drivers of Risk Appetite results. + Partner with Corporate and Line of Business Finance and Risk teams to understand key business drivers of Risk Appetite results. *Skills Required**. + Minimum Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; advanced degree preferred. + 7-10 years work experience in the financial industry, preferably in risk management. + Strong quantitative and analytical background with an understanding of risk management concepts (primarily in market risk and structural interest rate risk) and statistical measures. + High attention to detail and ability to work independently to produce executive-level materials, analyses, presentations. + Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate complex concepts. + Strong analytical skills and ability to distill high-level themes from granular data. + Ability to effectively prioritize and deliver multiple competing priorities. + Ability to work well under pressure and deliver under tight deadlines. + Self-starter who proactively seeks ways to improve processes. + Familiarity with stress testing and capital planning strongly preferred. + Prior experience driving cross-organizational initiatives.
