Job Description Lehigh Technical is seeking a Front-End Java Developer oriented software developer who is strong with Java Programming. This is a direct hire position in New York City.Job Summary: The end-customer's commerce group is looking to hire a Sr. Software Engineer in NYC. The Sr. Software Engineer will be working on new upcoming initiatives. Basic Qualifications: 10+ years programming experience 5+ years of developing/delivering high throughput services Strong Java experience and Ecommerce Development Expertise Used Docker in a production setting Working knowledge of AWS services including ECS, SWF, DDB, Kinesis, Lambda Strong understanding of RDBMS, ideally MySQL Deep knowledge and experience of managing, orchestrating, and monitoring distributed production systems Preferred Qualifications: Strong Scala experience Experience with Reactive programming (Akka or Spring) Strong understanding of modern deployment best practices Blue / green deployment Canary deployment Production experience managing multi-region services Experience scaling web services to high throughput Experience maintaining highly available systems Strong understanding of modern SRE best practices Experience using application monitoring tools New Relic Graphite / Grafana Prometheus Datadog Proven track record and desire to mentor less senior engineers Familiarity and advocate of CI/CD best practices methodologies Jenkins Travis Nesco Resource is an equal employment opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristics with respect to employment opportunities.
