Description:Labs & Technical Services (L&TS) Conceptual Sims Software team requires Senior Level Software Engineer to support the design, development, integration, test and deployment of the software products developed for the Rapid Prototyping Development Simulation (RPDS) project. The technical emphasis of this position focuses on delivering Man-in-the-Loop simulation systems which include low-to-medium fidelity models and Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) capabilities to support the F-35, ADP and IFG Lines of Business.
Additional responsibilities include providing technical guidance for the completion of specific projects which require frequent inter-organizational and external customer contacts. Some projects require travel within the United States and others require travel internationally. There are times where you may need to work a flexible schedule to support lab development and integration activities to meet program needs.
This position requires a complete understanding and wide application of software requirements, design, development, integration, and verification principles and concepts.
The selected candidate will work as an integral part of a highly motivated team using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
This position may require unique program security clearances that will be initiated upon selection and acceptance in filling this position. Final approval of these security clearances is dependent upon the Department of Defense (DoD) and could take an extensive amount of time to be granted. During this waiting period, the work assignments directly related to this position will be limited. Therefore, auxiliary organization work assignments will be provided.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and will require a Secret security clearance.
Experience with Real-time simulation software development
Experience with C++ programming
Experience with Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) / Object-Oriented Design (OOD) techniques
Experience developing software on Linux systems
Bachelor's degree or above in a STEM discipline.
F-35 domain knowledge in the areas of PVI, navigation, sensors and/or weapons is highly desired.
Secret or Top Secret Clearance highly desired.
Team leadership experience
Experience using Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience using Integrated Development Environments (Eclipse, Visual Studio, etc)
