Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, is seeking a highly qualified associate with 2-4 years of corporate/transactional experience to join our prominent corporate practice.
The corporate associate will engage in a wide range of financial securities transactions as well as corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, the corporate associate will engage in healthcare transactions and transactions in the fintech practice, specializing in marketplace lending and fund formation.
Ideal candidates will have solid experience in corporate finance transactions, securities, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions. Experience in bank finance, initial public offerings (IPOs), early-stage and start-up venture financings, SEC public company compliance, broker-dealer and registered investment advisors compliance is preferred. Demonstrated experience in reviewing, drafting and negotiating corporate agreements is a plus.Requirements:
2-4 years of strong transactional experience at a top law firm
Extensive experience with closing transactions and drafting corporate agreements
Stellar academic credentials and excellent writing and communication skills
Effective and efficient problem solvers with the ability to work independently and proactively
