The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for maintaining a high and consistent level of quality service, customer support, satisfaction and retention for assigned customers for the Health System Outpatient Pharmacy customer base. This role is responsible for understanding and communicating the customers strategic direction to internal teams. The strategic account executive will provide executive level interactions and communications with the customers. This role will own the optimization of the products and services that are utilized post go-live and will work collaboratively with peers and key departments to provide a high level of client support. The Strategic Account Executive provides a single point of contact to manage overall customer satisfaction associated with all MPS products and services. The Account Executive will develop and maintain relationships with customers to collaborate with other McKesson business units including US Pharma, Macro Helix, Supplylogix, and HVS on strategic and tactical solutions to secure customer satisfaction, contract extensions and add-on sales. Key Responsibilities include, not limited to: Understand the customers short- and long-term strategies, using that information to identify opportunities to optimize the customers business, demonstrate additional value in MPS solutions and recommend solutions for the customers to improve profitability and/or reduce overall cost of operation. Develop and maintain key customer relationships at the executive and operational level. Lead MPS customer business reviews, including strategic roadmap, articulate the value that MPS solutions bring to the customer, develop a thorough understanding of customer needs and determining opportunities for MPS to meet those needs in new and unique ways. Manage assigned accounts following implementation to ensure overall client satisfaction, including contract adherence, financial obligations, and communications. One McKesson liaison for customer with other McKesson Business Units such as US Pharma, HealthMart Atlas, Supplylogix, Macro Helix. Educate internal teams about the customers and advocate on customers behalf to make sure their business goals and strategy are understood and addressed appropriately to provide assistance with needs and future growth for the market. Establish routine communication with customers to develop an understanding of their business and strategic needs. Serve as a key consultant for internal McKesson teams to represent assigned customers for internal discussions on timelines, functionality, and related projects. Identify and refer sales opportunities to internal sales teams and other One McKesson business units. Primary lead for issue escalations for assigned customers to drive continued response and accepted solutions through collaborative communication with internal teams and customer. Minimum Requirements Minimum 5+ years Pharmacy or other relevant healthcare experience or Account/Project Management, Customer Relationship Management/Support, Critical Skills Strong communication skills: including verbal, written and presentation skills. Able to communicate issues in a clear and articulate fashion while showing creativity and innovation in presenting ideas. Able to effectively influence stakeholders and facilitate team projects. Demonstrated project management skills to prioritize the needs of multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively identify, analyze and evaluate problems and recommend and implement potential solutions. Strong collaboration and negotiating skills to interface with customers and internal departments. Willing to take ownership and lead by example. Positive, professional demeanor and presentation in all internal and client interactions Previous working experience in the Pharmacy industry recommended but not required Working knowledge of computer hardware, PC Windows and Microsoft Office. Position requires approximately 25-35% overnight national travel. Additional Skills Technical knowledge or practical experience of McKesson Pharmacy Systems preferred.
