The Opportunity: Joining the One Commercial Partner team as a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) means you will be playing a critical role helping Microsoft Partners to capitalize on the $2.2 trillion-dollar Digital Transformation market opportunity by 2019 a 60% increase since 2016. Working in OCP means you are shaping the world s largest eco-system of technology companies working to digitally transform the world s most innovative companies, large and small.Microsoft s Mission: Through our partners Microsoft brings digital ambitions to life by helping companies empower their employees, engage their customers, optimize their operations, and transform their products.Overseeing Digital Transformation Success: The CSA plays a critical role in working with partners to provide deep Azure technical consultancy through solution and practice build initiatives, and advice on key strategic customer engagements, Some of the key activities of the role include: Technical Architectural Review, Architectural Design Sessions (ADS), Proof of Concepts, Advanced Workshops, Hackathons, Deployment and Consumption Review.The Role: The CSA is a Solutions Architect building relationship with partner technical and development resources designing and architecting new solutions based on Microsoft s Azure cloud platform and technologies. CSAs deliver value via a portfolio of service delivery engagements optimized to accelerate partner solution builds and first mile customer wins.A Solutions Architect: The CSA Is a technology expert who stands out because of their deep solutions knowledge. They can go toe-to-toe with Microsoft s Azure engineering teams and blackbelts often surfacing product issues, feeding back value data and insights that accelerate fixes and updates.The ideal candidate: will have proven experience and skills in a customer/partner facing role at a leadership level and have demonstrated success leading deep technical value discussions with senior executives, driving decisions and implementation. The successful candidate for this role will have a balance of technical and sales acumen and some business development skills. This position is highly visible within the partner s organization and is expected to lead the technical strategies and motions to accelerate our partners growth while delivering customer success.ResponsibilitiesTechnical Enablement: Jointly develop technical enablement plan for partnersEnablement Execution: Lead and or contribute to the delivery of workshops, Bootcamps, Advanced Workshops necessary to build the technical skills and expertise of partnersTechnical Engagement: Lead the execution of deep technical engagements including; Technical Briefings, Proof of Concepts, Architectural Design Sessions, Hackathons to define and bring new solutions to marketPartner Skilling and Sharing Best Practices: Network and collaborate with Microsoft s Engineering, Marketing, the OCP Enablement Team and the OCP field in general, to help define the specific skill requirements for partner growth and practice building, as well as sharing of best practices, gathering insight and sharing the blockers and learnings with Engineering and across the organization.Technical Acumen: Understands technology trends and opportunities, compliance/risk issues by reading, attending webinars, participating in appropriate technical and industry conferences, gatherings, meet-ups, and user groups.Technical Network: Invests in building a deep technical network to promote value, experiences and expertise. Responsible for building an expansive Network of partner technical contacts and internal contacts including Engineering, Marketing, OCP Field, Global Black belts, M&O and peer ArchitectsEvangelist: Evangelizes the partners practice and solutions in customer s implementations via Technical Briefings, Technical Reviews, Architecture Reviews, promoting best in class tools, practices and Practices.Implementation Success: Improves partner s migration, implementation, and operational success by promoting Microsoft programs, and best practices. Also gather partners insights and learnings to promote and communicate back to the rest of the partner ecosystem, engineering and peers.Pre-Sales: Enable the partner on key strategic partner s opportunities through: Technical Architectural Review, Architectural Design Sessions (ADS), Proof of Concepts, Advanced Workshops, Hackathons, Deployment and Consumption ReviewQualificationsExperiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:Technical implementation experience of digital transformation cloud platforms, emerging computing trends and their impact on partner practice building opportunities. 10 years of related experience in technology solutions/practice development, Cloud / Infrastructure technologies. Knowledge of MS platform preferable, project management, technical Sales and technical account management requiredFluent knowledge of Microsoft cloud services and technical expertise of the Microsoft platform Demonstrable architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of complex application architecturesFluent knowledge of how customers assess, purchase and manage public cloud solutionsConversant knowledge of AWS, Google, IBM cloud services compete Proven track record of building deep sales relationships with CXOs and practice building executives in ISV, MSP, CD and SisInclusive and collaborative driving teamwork and cross-team alignment Strong partner relationship management skillsStrong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small technical audiences. Problem solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through with partners.EducationBachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field requiredCertifications in domain-specific technologies requiredBe a Microsoft Azure Architect certified (for example, Microsoft Certified Azure Solution Architect Expert), or have an industry equivalent certificationMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
