Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading international law firms, seeks to hire a highly litigation qualified attorney with law firm experience to join our eData Practice in the New York office.
Morgan Lewis's unique eData team, composed of both lawyers and technologists, serves Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 clients across a wide range of industries and practice areas.
eData's mission is to combine great lawyering with technology and process to deliver real value to clients in an emerging practice area with opportunities to handle litigation across industries, regions and practice groups.
The eData associate provides strategic advice on information governance, litigation related discovery, the useof data and analytic technologies in litigation, investigations, compliance and risk management, data privacy and GDPR.
The associate will provide legal advice and practical guidance to colleagues and clients and will serve as discovery litigation counsel on cases throughout the eData practice and firm.

The ideal candidate will have law firm experience in a litigation based practice and have briefing, oral argument and deposition experience.
The successful candidate will also have experience serving as discovery counsel, a role that may include developing strategy, handling pre-trial negotiations, taking and defending discovery depositions, and handling discovery motion practice in litigations and investigations.
In addition, the successful candidate should be well versed in information governance and data privacy, particularly where these disciplines intersect with the litigation and investigation discovery process.
The role will help clients meet increasingly demanding regulatory and legal requirements.
Candidates must possess excellent academic credentials as well as strong organization, writing, and analytical skills.
