Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with over 4000 lawyers and staff in 31 offices, is seeking a Marketing Assistant for the firm's Labor & Employment Practice Group. The primary responsibility of this position is to support the projects and activities related to the practice's strategic business development and marketing objectives. This position will work closely with lawyers, the Marketing and Communications team, and other professionals across the firm in organizing and executing related activities.
The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate day-to-day activities with supervision and respond to requests from lawyers and Marketing colleagues. Candidates must be responsive, self-motivated, a team player, committed to excellence in the workplace, and have excellent attention to detail. Candidates should be motivated to learn the substance of the Labor and Employment Practice and to take on projects of increasing complexity as knowledge of the practice develops. This position requires a very high energy level, a positive \"can do\" attitude, and flexibility with overtime.
Participates in the preparation and tracking of proposals, pitches, RFPs, presentations, and communications materials.
Organizes and coordinates seminar, webinar, and event activities, including handling mailing lists and invitations, reserving facilities, arranging for catering, producing materials, and hosting live web events.
Drafts content for internal newsletters.
Supports the preparation of accolade submissions.
Assists with website postings.
Develops and maintains contact lists through the firm's CRM, InterAction.
Experience and Qualifications:
Must possess a Bachelor's degree.
Minimum of one year of relevant professional experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
Excellent writing skills are required.
High degree of proficiency in the use of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and database applications.
Strong organizational, team building, and communication skills are essential.
Law firm experience is preferred.
This position will reside in our New York office.
