Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with over 4,000 lawyers and staff in 31 offices is seeking a Temporary Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator , reporting to the Director of Diversity & Inclusion. This position will reside in the New York office and be responsible for coordinating the activities related to Diversity & Inclusion:
Responsibilities:
Assists with routine tasks and special project such as:
Assisting with the coordination of office-wide special events (invitations, coordinating speakers, travel, room set up, etc.).
Maintaining content on both the Morgan Lewis intranet and external website, such as the affinity group pages.
Updating diversity marketing materials and help develop content for the Firm's diversity marketing
Handling ad-hoc reporting requests; revising utilization reports on the intranet site.
Tracking and processing requests for sponsorship of various events, programs, and organizations and coordinating the logistics with the practice groups.
Acting as liaison for various affinity groups and emailing members regarding upcoming professional and/or business development opportunities.
Researching materials online and assisting with drafting summaries, creating presentations and mockups.
Processing expenses and reimbursements as needed
Arranging both internal and external meetings and conference calls.
Coordinating calendar management, including and any associated travel.
Providing administrative support as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Human Resources or a related field and;
A minimum of two years of related experience, preferably in a professional services industry. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills (including grammar and punctuation), as well as strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
The successful candidate will possess effective problem solving, time management skills, and the ability to multi-task.
Candidates must also have advanced skills in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Experience working with Sharepoint is highly desired.
Flexibility to work overtime is required.
Local and overnight travel may occasionally be expected.
