The Audio Technician position encompasses all aspects of television audio, from live mixing to post audio editing. The primary job focus will be to mix audio sources for live television productions, while managing sub mixes and signal routing for various purposes. They are also responsible for configuring intercom stations and all communication equipment for daily productions. The Audio Technician will work with studio personnel to make sure all on-air talent have working audio equipment, including microphones and IFBs. Responsibilities Mix high quality live and live to tape productions at Target Loudness level (-24 LKFS) Responsible for overall audio operation of studio and control room; including mics (RF & wired), intercom, IFB (local and remote), and other communication devices Run pre-show fax of audio sources, destinations, and intercom panels Record, file, and playback music and sound effects as directed Setup and maintain intercom systems and panel profiles Perform additional audio duties, such as A2 and/or remote audio ENG Utilize non-linear toolsets for basic audio editing and mixing Report any equipment maintenance issues following all shows to Tech Manager Lend creative and technical input when necessary to enhance production values Log and submit daily music cue sheets Other duties as assigned >Minimum Qualifications Experience as an A1/A2 for live studio or remote at a network level Experience as an Audio Mixer with large format Audio consoles (Lawo preferred) Intercom programming experience (RTS preferred) Post audio editing experience (Pro Tools preferred) Good communication, teamwork and collaboration skills Strong work ethic, positive attitude and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment Additional Job Requirements Interested candidate must submit a resume/CV through www.nbcunicareers.com to be considered (note job #: ) Must be willing to work in Orlando FL Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice At NBCUniversal, we believe in the talent of our people.
