This is a part-time, non-staff role in the Content department. The Part-Time Editor will be responsible for editing linear content as assigned by our Sr. Supervising Producer. Schedule will vary by week, with no minimum guarantee for hours. Job Duties Edit game highlights and news packages Edit show features and long-form programming Edit for 30 and 60 minute sportscasts and talk shows Edit show opens and teasers and highlight material Edit for Pre and Postgame Live shows, as well as other live programming Work with Producers to write highlights, sports news stories, and teases Collaborate and provide support to newsroom and production staff as requested Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Basic Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of television news editing experience Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience Ability to write highlights, sports news stories, and teases Additional Job Requirements Interested candidate must submit a resume/CV through www.nbcunicareers.com to be considered (note job #: ) Must be willing to work in Philadelphia, PA Willingness to work on nights and weekends, sometimes with short notice This role is represented by IBEW Local 98 Desired Qualifications Minimum of 1 year experience in sports editing Proficiency and knowledge of Avid Systems or comparable editing systems Good knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop Ability to use multi format technology Thorough knowledge of local & national sports Experience with INEWS At NBCUniversal, we believe in the talent of our people.
