Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Treasury Services Representative.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for the collection, processing and securing of Hospital & SOM patient payments, posting payments and reconciliation of cash collected; record keeping; check distribution; petty cash disbursement; patient valuables; and related duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all payments including cash, checks and credit cards are to posted to Epic and/or receipted to general ledger accounts
  • Prepares cash payments for deposits from various locations
  • Scans checks through remote deposit to Bank of America
  • Disbursement of petty cash, according to the policy and procedure of Treasury and General Accounting departments
  • Inventory and safekeeping of patient valuables
  • Distribution of patient valuables to owner or family members
  • Preparation of unclaimed property reports
  • Distribution of metrocards, to Medicaid patients, as per the policy and procedure of the Public Transportation Automated Reimbursement (PTAR) program
  • Preparation of change requests for Tisch Caf.
  • Sale of shuttle bus tickets
  • Reimbursement of imprest funds according to the policy and procedure of Treasury and General Accounting departments

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma. Minimum of one year of related work experience. Proficiency with PCs and MS Office software (Word, Excel, etc.). Excellent organization, communication and time management skills are essential; must be able to multi-task.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:Associates Degree. Banking experience a plus.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
