As an Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for partnering with HCG General Ledger Accounting team in reviewing and reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries and accruals, reviewing, assigning and coding expenses from company corporate card system as well as other monthly accounting functions within department.
Manage corporate card charges including reviewing receipts, coding to accounts/project and record charges, and reconciling to GL and statement
Reconcile and record intercompany and corporate transactions to General Ledger
Initiate electronic payment transfers
Review and approve New Vendor Setup (NVS) and Vendor Change forms
Prepare Accruals for assigned HCG agencies
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned HCG agencies
Prepare prepaid expense for assigned HCG agencies
Prepare Fixed Asset Entry for assigned HCG agencies
Review P&L with Controller/Assistant Controller including research variances and recording adjustments, if needed
Hold weekly meetings with managers of corporate card holders/users to oversee and manage all outstanding/un-coded corporate card charges
Reports back to senior management on all open corporate card charges
Assisting in Quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley audits of internal financial processes
Assist with quarterly corporate Internal Reporting Package requirements
Support ad hoc projects and research needs
Key Skill Sets
Must have a high degree of accuracy and be detail oriented
1-3 years experience in an equivalent role
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
Computer proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas), Word and Outlook a must
Excellent organizational skills
