Pfizer Integrative Biotechnology Group (IBG) is within the Oncology division of Pfizer Worldwide Research & Development and is located in Pearl River, NY. IBG employs a multidisciplinary approach to target the tumor intrinsic mechanism of immune suppression and modulate the tumor microenvironment for the discovery and development of next generation oncology therapeutics and therapeutic combinations.
We seek to hire a Director to lead our innovative biotherapeutic discovery team focused on the discovery of tumor-associated antigens and development of biotherapeutics platforms to target solid tumors. The qualified candidate is a highly motivated, interactive, and creative individual who possesses substantial experience in cancer biotherapeutic discovery, protein engineering, antibody development and an interest in development biotherapeutics that combat and/or operate in the immune suppressive tumor microenvironment. The candidate will be an experienced program team leader with expertise in leveraging mouse hybridoma and phage-display antibody discovery platforms to identify monoclonal antibodies. S/he will also have experience in protein design and protein biophysical characterization. S/he will be an effective manager and mentor junior PhDs, associates and postdoctoral fellows. The candidate will be expected to effectively collaborate with colleagues in the Oncology Target Therapeutic Discovery group to identify and prioritize opportunities for biotherapeutic development.
