Job Posting Title Product DirectorJob Description The Product Director provides strategic leadership for the assigned Product Development domains. This position assesses, designs, builds/executes and launches new and enhanced products through all phases of the product development lifecycle from pre-concept through implementation. This position directs and owns portfolio management over a suite of products, capabilities and services that align to Primes, and our clients strategic imperatives. This role serves as a key influencer and partner across market segments and departments to ensure that products meet operational excellence criteria, provide client value, and yield revenue to meet target goals. Additionally, this position provides mentorship, oversight and work direction to Product Development Analysts and Senior Analysts to ensure the effective development and portfolio management of current and future products. Responsibilities + Simultaneously develop, implement and enhance 4-7 of the most complex and highest visibility products and services; lead efforts cross-functionally, and at times, through third party administrators, throughout the identification, prioritization, funding, development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of industry leading products and services + Collaborate with general management, IT, and marketing leadership, as well as Executives and clients, to align business and product development priorities that enrich the product pipeline and support Primes overall product portfolios; serve as primary product development liaison between cross-functional teams, clients, and vendors + Establish an effective communication and monitoring cadence for operations, client facing teams and senior leadership to provide progress and status updates, proactively anticipate and resolve issues, and maintain awareness throughout the development and implementation process, including presentations to executive committees for project stage gate approvals and the ongoing analysis of ROI, operational expense, adoption and efficacy of the assigned product portfolio + Work with Product Development Analysts and Senior Analysts to complete all documentation throughout the product or project lifecycle, including creating business cases, business plans, business requirements, RFP support, and product tracking + Facilitate and contribute to the research, development and implementation of Enterprise Products and Services; identify, analyze, monitor and recommend actions for products and services that materially contribute to the mission of the company + Develop product pilot and testing programs to measure intended outcomes, identify and remediate issues or risks, increase awareness and support, and influence client adoption behaviors + Leverage proprietary databases, published industry updates or conferences, focus groups, and other data sources, conduct market and competitive analysis to evaluate new product development opportunities, anticipate changing market needs, and identify possible enhancements + Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications + Bachelors degree in Business or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required + 8 years of combined work experience in product development, marketing, operations and/or client management within a Pharmacy Benefit Manager or other managed care organization, including the development and leadership of strategic initiatives + Experience with financial modeling and return-on-investment analysis + Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship Additional Qualifications + Highly skilled and knowledgeable in product and project life cycles and methodologies, continuous quality improvement, and change management + Expert interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively facilitate meetings, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport and collaborate effectively across departments, internally and externally, and at all levels within an organization + Organization and prioritization skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to simultaneously lead multiple, complex projects and strategies, under pressure and strict timeframes + Proven critical thinking and analysis skills with the ability to translate client requests, market insights, and business capabilities into new and compelling products and services Preferred Qualifications + Masters degree in Business + Vendor management experience, including negotiating contracts and resolving service issues + Knowledge and experience with Agile project management methodologies Minimum Physical Job Requirements + Ability to travel up to 20% of time + Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear + Frequently required to reach with hands and arms + Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch + Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds + Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Reporting Structure + Reports to Sr Director in the Product Development department Prime Therapeutics LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
