The VP Global Operational Effectiveness will work with multiple constituents across Clinical Solutions and global functional teams in the identification and prioritization of transformational opportunities, helping to impact our margins, and changing the nature of the business by better leveraging global scale. This individual will drive change using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and provide process and organizational analysis, design and improvement services to the business. He or she will also be responsible for building these capabilities out across the organization - both by training, mentoring and coaching select staff and by rolling-out training programs to a broader audience.. Acquisition Integration: lead operational integration efforts as needed.. Responsibilities:. Lead cost innovation program that will enable funding of CS strategic projects/priorities. Support the implementation of key Clinical Solutions strategic initiatives, improving our ability to deliver on strategic priorities and improving operational effectiveness. Lead cross functional teams that gather information to evaluate current work processes and identify improvement strategies, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma standards including process mapping, root cause analysis and benchmarking of processes.. Partner closely with the Operations and functional teams across the company to deliver a clear road map and plan to deliver annual efficiency goals. Support the development of an approach and framework for building continuous improvement capabilities across Clinical Solutions. Educate and coach others on Lean, Six Sigma philosophy and application. Serve as change agent by stimulating, communicating, and institutionalizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and the benefits these capabilities provide. Coach, mentor and assist in accreditation of individuals in Green and Black Belt training. Provide leadership and direction to Black Belts in executing the Lean Six Sigma strategy for breakthrough levels of improvement in customer experience, process capability, quality and efficiency. Communicate project progress to Senior Leaders. Seek, share, and institutionalize best practices and promote industry standards and the use of the latest/most effective methodologies for cost measurement and productivity. Ensure that all delivered solutions are operational, have clear documentation, and adhere to agreed standards.. Qualifications:. Experience driving large scale complex programs to drive operational effectiveness, experience at RELX a plus.. Ability to work in a complex and matrixed environment, deliver quickly and adapt to changing demands. Excellent interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal), influencing and mentoring skills. Ability to cultivate strong collaborative working relationships and contacts within work group, across other company functions and with external organizations. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership. Proven ability to influence others, drive meaningful change results and develop/execute formal change management programs. Experience with change management techniques. Master Black Belt (Certified) preferred. Strong analytic and project management experience leading large cross functional projects. PMI or other relevant professional certification preferred. MBA or equivalent education and experience. Minimum 7 years of experience in implementing Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives. High Level of technical skills including advanced MS Office and Visio skills. Knowledge of information industry and technology preferred. Preferred experience in a leadership role of training and education of an organization on Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement capabilities. Must be willing to travel.
