As a Sr. Data Architect within Global Hosting and US Professional Services you will lead SAS services delivery projects, including solution definition, implementation, and closeout at customer sites.You possess an expert level of knowledge of Enterprise Data Management, Data Quality, Master Data Management, and Big Data architecture and tools, and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.You will lead in the design and implementation of complex solution architectures, from traditional data warehouses and data mart implementations, to the next generation data management solutions utilizing and integrating big data and cloud platforms.You must have the ability to relate technical concepts about SAS applications and user needs and oversee the technical progress of ongoing services. You will also assist the sales team with technical activities to maximize revenue opportunities.You will develop and enhance personal and group skills for the benefit of the implementation and delivery process.

Primary responsibilities will include:
? Leading delivery projects directed at the implementation of SAS Data Management technologies ? Conducting project assessments to determine overall scope, work breakdown, and cost of engagements ? Analyzing all information gathered during the sales cycle to translate sales technical vision into a detailed technical implementation proposal ? Performing advanced or complex prototyping for SAS Data Management and/or Data Quality technologies ? Understanding, utilizing and communicating best practice methodologies and industry standards internally and externally ? Assisting in the pre-sales process including: o Responding to RFI/RFPs utilizing the RFP Repository and crafting thorough and compelling answers
o Delivering and\\\\or directing pre-sales engagements to prove functional capabilities (POC s or POV s), including on-site support as required
? Building trusted relationships with the account executives, business unit partners, and key client account personnel to provide practical guidance in the functional and technical aspects of proposed software and set proper expectations to ensure customer satisfaction Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field; with ? 5-7 years of technical consulting, systems engineering, project management, applications development and/or customer support ? Strong applied knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Modeling fundamentals, with a focus on Dimensional Data Modeling ? Prior experience building Dimensional Data Warehouses and deep knowledge of areas such as change data capture, slowly changing dimensions, data staging and loading techniques ? Superior facilitation, problem solving, organizational, decision-making, written, oral and interpersonal skills ? Ability to conceptualize clients' needs and translate into specific implementation strategies ? Experience to organize, lead, and mentor team members on large delivery efforts ? Travel as business needs dictate Preferred
? Good understanding of the SAS9 Platform including architecture, security and administration ? Expert in implementing ETL solutions using SAS Data Management or other ETL tools ? Applied expertise with Data Quality solutions such as Master Data Management, Data Standardization, Cleansing, and House Holding ? Understanding of Hadoop Data Architectures and native Hadoop Data Management tools and techniques ? Experience with Cloud Data Architectures and Cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, etc ) ? Strong experience and proficiency in at least one relational database such as Oracle, DB2 or Teradata ? Working knowledge of multiple operating systems such as Windows, Linux / UNIX system administration, performance monitoring and evaluation SAS looks not only for the right skills, but also a fit to our core values.
