LOCATION: Eden Prairie, Minnesota

This Print Quality Engineer will perform the materials evaluation used in Additive Manufacturing Systems to optimize system performance to achieve the part quality attributes required by our markets. Troubleshooting, risk reduction, and system integration are also essential parts of the job. Will development of a good understanding of material and system interactions in Additive Manufacturing systems with both workstation and embedded software is necessary.

  • Support new material and new system development to assure part quality meets product specification.
  • Evaluate part quality risks during early product development and report analysis results to project team.
  • Tune workstation and embedded parameters to optimize 3D printing process for best part quality to meet customer needs.
  • Perform root cause analysis, track, and resolve printing issues during material and system integration.
  • Provide technical assistance from printing quality perspective to internal/external partners.
  • Support new technology projects for material performance optimization in next generation platforms as needed. Work with Corporate AE and Product Marketing to support product launch.
  • Partner with testing engineers and reliability engineers to collect printing failure data for product performance validation.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience. (Focus on quality)
  • 1+ years of previous Failure Analysis and systematically troubleshooting experience.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiar with 3D printing technologies, Additive Manufacturing processes, and Stratasys products.
  • Experience in Pro/E, Solidworks, and CAD/CAM software programs.
  • Creativity and willingness to gain an advanced understanding of Additive Manufacturing applications are desired attributes.
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work effectively on projects with minimal direct supervision.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a sense of urgency and attention to details when handling process and machine related issues.
  • TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 5%
