Taylor & Francis Group, a leading international academic publisher, now have a vacancy for one Editor, Journals Peer Review post within the Journals division on a full-time basis within the Delhi office.

Reporting to and working closely withthe Team Leader, Journals Peer Review andin concert with theUK-basedGlobal Peer Review team, the Editor, Journals Peer Review operates originality checking software and prepares reports based on the results for articles across all subject areas,acting as a point of support and escalation for Assistant Editor colleagues. While this role has no direct reports, it would be well-suited to an ambitious professional looking to develop and hone management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performtop-levelanalysis of originality results and prepare reports on the results for appropriate parties, managingown workload to ensure tasks are delivered on time and to required standards.
  • Proactively supportquality of teams work including problem-solving, right first time and effective feedback to relevant parties where problems arise, demonstratingawareness of cost control.
  • Maintaina good standard of housekeeping to ensure that files can be found and utilised quickly.
  • Maintaininternal systems and reporting tools, keeping data up-to-date at all times, ensuring reliable reporting.
  • Adhereto team workflows and support others to do likewise, ensuring that new processes are understood and implemented correctly.
  • Identifying and acting on opportunities for improvement, including leading on workflow processor systems projects.
  • Providing project leadership and/or support where required on inter-and cross-departmental projects.
  • Collaborative team working.
  • Trainand supportnew team members, coaching and adapting support to others learning styles.

    The successful candidate will ideally have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, includingMS Word andExcel in particular. They will have experience working within the academic environment in an ethics-focussed role, hold a university degree, and have a clearunderstanding of the concept of peer review and its importance within academic journals publishing.
