Position

Summary

This

position serves as Jo Malone London's main point of contact for key retailers

in the North America region. Accountable for managing the overall relationship

from strategic vision to execution, working closely with Planners and leading the

Trade Marketing team; covers basic, launch, TOA/promo, sets, holiday,

non-saleable/collateral/all supporting elements; develops and delivers

sustainable growth plan for brand in account, determining where to play, how to

win, and white space opportunities. The role will report to the VP, Account

Management, Sales Planning & Operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategicresponsibilities
* Deep understanding of retailer and local marketnuances to develop overall account strategy that guides category priorities,marketing campaigns, assortment, merchandising, promos/GWP/sets, events and allother parts of the business
* Seeks out and develops new business strategiesand category growth.
* Develops full calendar of tailored activities forretailer and retailer.com, leveraging overall brand category and marketingobjectives. Ensuring correctcoordination and resource allocation between B&M and .com
* Negotiates seasonal stock & sales plans withinput from Account & Sales Planning
* Coordinates closely with KAMs to ensure ELCportfolio is being leveraged with retailer

Marketingresponsibilities
* Ensures strong visual presence in store, in localmarket and on retailer.com (e.g., outposts, out-of-home ads, merchandising)
* Ensures that right marketing activities (instore, co-op, digital/social, etc.) supports events, promos and other brandactivities
* Works extremely closely with Account & SalesPlanning and leads Trade Marketing team to ensure strong business decisions onmarketing, assortment, stock levels, sampling, sets, exclusives and giftstailored to retailers' customers

BusinessResponsibilities
* Owns key P&L items for account and determinesspend to maximize ROI and sales; held to seasonal targets (retail sales, netsales, demo, co-op, freelance, promo, GWP, sets, capex) and shapes theexecution of these items at the retailer
* Reviews door profiles w/input from planner andthe field; works with Head of A&SP to determine door level allocations
* Reviews door P&Ls seasonally in partnershipwith Finance team (prep'd by finance) to analyze outliers/ensure moreprofitable & productive doors
* Negotiates overall demo (including freelance)investment with retailer and monitors productivity/effectiveness (e.g., hourutilization, open positions) monthly and communicates to field; sets totalinvestment for field to allocate and execute by door

Structure
* Organized by account/channel based on accountpriority
* Is strongly connected to both the Account and theNY office, requiring frequent travel
* Focuses 80% of time on priority doors
* Empowered to make decisions
* Manages two TradeMarketing Managers

Qualifications
* 10years relevant experience in prestige beauty/fragrance, department stores, orsales/retail business development are required.
* Proventrack record of successful relationship building; strong business acumen andfinancial ability
* Extensivebusiness experience (i.e., P&L management, main drivers of business, savvywith standard business analyses)
* Expertunderstanding of primary levers and components to a successful marketingcampaign; digital marketing and e-commerce business experience are desired
* Strategicthinker and able to lay out a cohesive and clearly articulated strategy todrive the brand
* Excellentwritten, verbal, and presentation-based communication skills required.
* Strongproject management capabilities with extreme attention to detail
* Advancedproficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Extensive domestic travel required within US
