POSITION SUMMARY This position can be located in Holmdel, NJ, Bethlehem, PA, or Stamford, CT, with at least 2 days a week of remote work.In the Business IntelligenceConsultant for Dental Claims Analytics role, the individual will work withbusiness and IT leaders to identify, prioritize, execute, and communicate theresults of high value data analysis projects related to dental claims. Thisindividual will play a highly visible role in promoting a data &analytics-driven culture across Guardian Commercial & Government Markets (CGM),aligned with business strategies. He or she will act as a consultant who willperform data analysis and partner with key business and technology stakeholdersto execute on their data strategies and identify new insights andopportunities. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This leadership role reports to the CGMData and Reporting organization. Thesuccessful candidate will work across CGM leadership to articulate and alignthe Data & BI vision.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES The Associate Business IntelligenceConsultant is responsible for playing a strategic and leadership role indeveloping and articulating the evolving, business aligned data and analyticsstrategy to the key business stakeholders. This position works closely with senior management to identify highvalue operational opportunities and champion data & analytics solutions asa central decision-making resource to increase company performance, develop newproducts, and gain competitive advantage. Responsibilities include:
  • RepresentCGM on dental claims data and analytics initiatives to help create a Data &BI program that focuses on data integrity, value added analysis, anddemocratization of data and insights
  • Managesenior level business relationships partnering closely with the claims area,technology, Enterprise Analytics, and others to ensure an integrated approach
  • Developinnovative approaches to linking internal data to external data identifyingtrends and opportunities and articulate to key business stakeholders
  • Workwith business units to define and prioritize high value Data & Analyticsprojects and opportunities
  • Leadsolution delivery and partner with technical execution team to architect andsupport leading metrics production processes, infrastructure, anddeliverables
  • Abilityto collaborate with multiple stakeholders, developing and executing value addedanalytics communication strategy while being able to accomplish day-to-daytactical activities
  • Mustbe able to manage multiple tasks to deliver according to schedule andpriority. Ability to work in afast-paced, changing environment.
  • Workingknowledge of the economics of Group insurance
  • Goodunderstanding of analytical and data management methods. (Moderate to strongquantitative skills)
  • Strongunderstanding of dental claims processes
  • Workingknowledge of data architecture design (data marts, etc) and data modelingprinciples
  • Workingknowledge of financial and management information reporting practice andrequirements
  • Stronginterest in and experience with using technology to effect process improvements
  • Proactivelytakes lead in building and leveraging relationships internally and externally
  • Strongability to communicate and present to senior and executive level management

  • Qualifications

    Overall Qualifications:
  • 5 +years experience in data management and analytics environment includingexperience with business intelligence
  • Bachelor sdegree required
  • Experiencewithin an insurance and/or healthcare organization preferred, specificallywithin dental analytics/services/claims
  • Experiencewith data modeling, relational databases and reporting, including demonstratedexperience in a variety of disciplines
  • Moderateto advanced experience with Excel, Microsoft Office Products and databases.
  • Experienceworking with multiple projects, delivering completion on or before deadline.
