How will you make an impact?
Under the direction of the CTD Director, Global Supplier Quality, the Supplier Quality Engineer is primarily responsible for execution and maintenance of the CTD Supplier Management Program. This role will be responsible for on-going maintenance of the supplier program, overseeing the audit schedule and day to day vendor management. The role holder is part of the Global Supplier Quality Team and as such supports the global supplier programme as required.
What will you do? Maintains the Supplier Management areas under Good Manufacturing principles and standards. Demonstrates and promotes the company vision. Develop processes and procedures to ensure that a risk-based supplier management program is followed Lead meetings related to supplier performance monitoring, issue resolution, strategy definition, etc. Ensure alignment between suppliers and FCS related to quality requirements and specifications Own and manage supplier audit schedule including assigning audit Lead and team members Performs quality audits and assessment of suppliers Trains Lead auditors in Supplier audits Manage Supplier CAPA plan approvals with team for timely closure of audits Review and assess supplier notification of change and escalate accordingly Drive the implementation and approval of Quality Agreements between Fisher and Supplier with support of global sites/team members Ensure issues such as delays in audits, quality agreements, etc. are prioritized appropriately and resolved effectively Provide timely and accurate communication to CTD Director, Global Supplier Quality including performance metrics Responsible for monitoring the performance of the supplier management program by providing metrics and quarterly reports Review supplier score cards to continuously measure supplier performance
How will you get there? A Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering or Science, minimum of 5 years experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industry, with at least 3 years in direct support of Supplier Management A good understanding of math concepts is necessary, which includes decimals, square roots, and percentage yield and temperature conversion. Must be competent in all aspects of Supplier Management procedures. Quality auditing certification (ASQ, IRCA, IQA, or RABS) preferred Well-versed in the development and execution of quality management systems Project planning and working knowledge of Excel, Word, Access, and quality management software Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers; highly Functioning team leader and team member in a multi-skilled, dynamic business environment Leadership skills: Proven ability to influence others, lead significant change and negotiate for win/win outcomes Work attitude that exhibits drive, creativity, collaboration, assertiveness, good judgment, decision making and ambition Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria: Computer literacy with an understanding of Microsoft Windows applications Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and possess problem solving ability
Supervisory Responsibility: None directly
Work Schedule: 8:00am 5:00pm core hours. May be required to work some overtime and weekend hours.
Other Factors: This position will include travel to supplier locations (US and Internationally), up to 20-30% of time.
