Clinical Redesign is an innovative direct service delivery business unit within C&S, targeting both complex and healthy populations, including those with medical, mental health, addiction and social complexity. The Clinical Redesign Team is led by Dr. Jeffrey Brenner, MD and Kathleen Stillo, MBA who pioneered similar work in Camden, New Jersey through the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers and the Urban Health Institute at Cooper Health System.Their work is driven by a deep belief in team-based care; continuous improvement; integration of services, protocolization and standardization of work; staff training and development; and patient/family/community centeredness.The team is inspired by care models from around the world including the NUKA Health System run by the Southcentral Foundation in Anchorage, Alaska and the Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai, India.
The team uses modern business and clinical techniques to deliver care that is evidence-based, data-driven, and integrated.Current services include housing and wrap around care for formerly homeless members, primary care in the home for frail home-bound members, short term stabilization and assessments, medication assisted treatment for substance use disorder, and primary care clinics. Some of the clinical techniques being used with patients include:trauma-informed care, harm reduction, positive psychology, motivational interviewing, medication assisted treatment, and data-driven patient segmentation.The team also draws upon a range of business best practices to ensure the services will scale and spread with strong fidelity and high quality service delivery.
This role of Replication Manager drives the development of clinical model replication materials to support scaling and replicating better-care-at-lower-cost solutions broadly, and is part of the Training, Replication & Dissemination team within Clinical Redesign. The work spans the breadth of Clinical Redesign s direct care service lines including housing, ambulatory ICU with medication assisted treatment, home-based primary care, and short-term stabilization and assessment. This role reports to the VP Training, Replication & Dissemination. The role is highly collaborative within the Training, Replication & Dissemination team since all replication materials will have some level of associated training and the materials should be developed using instructional design best practices, and at the same time is very matrixed to the functions providing content and source material such as Housing Operations, Growth, Care Enablement, and our market-based leaders. The key role of the Replication Manager is to manage the core operations of replication by assembling source content from SMEs, helping them refine and finalize that content with sign off from Compliance and Legal where necessary, and converting it to high-end replication package materials that will be used by Plan CEO and leadership, Clinical Redesign staff at all levels, and ultimately other internal and external stakeholders to quickly and efficiently stand up replicated versions of our direct care delivery solutions.
Specific responsibilities include:
Lead codification of clinical model processes and package them into implementation guides or how to materials for each service line that reflect adult learning methodology and industry best practice resulting in effective, polished final products consumable by diverse audiences, so our clinical models can be efficiently scaled and replicated broadly
Collaborate with a team with a mixed background of consulting, instructional design, business, data analytics, medicine, nursing, and social work
Listen closely to market-based leaders and market-level staff to ensure process artifacts and replication packages are informed by front-line insights and customer needs so final materials can be effectively used to support Clinical Redesign s growth strategy
Project manage and lead the function-based content generators (SMEs) to codify, collect and prepare sound/validated documentation and process artifacts for packaging and replication. Use skills such as project management, content generation, content curation, and document design to support this process the SMEs are the front-line do-ers who often are not accustomed to documenting/ describing their work for future replication. This can include coaching team members to define what the steps are in their functional processes, support them in documenting the processes under each step, Q/A-ing those materials, applying rigorous instructional design techniques to materials and ensuring they are organized and usable as input for replication packaging
Deploy strong project management skills in engaging standard tools and processes for initiating and managing projects, to build a culture in which rapid, iterative innovation becomes the norm. Ensure projects are managed with a clear timeline and expected results keeping up with the pace of new model development across CRT. Develop tracking tools to ensure full visibility by team to projects underway and their progress
Support the values and development of the broader Clinical Redesign Team. Create and maintain a non-hierarchal culture of accountability and integrity that is compassionate, patient-directed, and free of judgement
Build and maintain collaborative and high-trust relationships with internal and external partners
5+ years experience using instructional design skills to develop collateral and instructional materials for diverse audiences
5+ years experience managing projects and owning end-to-end accountability for project delivery
3+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment and well-developed relationship building skills
3+ years consulting or related experience in clinical model management, training / instructional design, or documentation (policies/procedures) with preference for experience in the health care industry
Experience in healthcare, ideally in health system change or health education
5+ years demonstrating excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
5+ years in a role demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills including experience working with all levels of an organization and with clinical providers. Demonstrated communicator with skills to flex to different audiences at different levels of understanding and seniority
3+ years of experience with technical writing and / or copy editing
Expert-level MS Office skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project), Adobe Acrobat, SnagIt (or any graphic editing program),HTML-based design and coding (moderate experience acceptable), Storyline
Ability to travel approximately 5%
Experience with graphic design from instructional design perspective is a plus
Bachelor s Degree required, Master s degree preferred
